Beyond the Classroom
Here at Wallasey School we hold an annual cultural week, which is an exploration of a particular culture. In the past this has included Into India, Out of Africa, Within These Isles, Step into South America and Oriental Expression. Our aim is to raise multi-cultural awareness in the school where the climax of the week long activity is an exciting evening performance.
The Performing Arts faculty encourages students to display their music, theatre and dance skills in workshops as well as at special events and festivals. In addition to classroom music, instrumental and vocal tuition are available through the Wirral Instrumental Music Service. Regular Performing Arts clubs include orchestra, choir, percussion band, ensembles, dance and drama groups.
We also have additional opportunities available to our pupils including Maths Master Classes, Science Clubs, Young Engineers and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Lunchtime clubs are also readily available and offered throughout the year.
