Review Days

Parents/Carers should bring your son/daughter with you, they should be dressed in their school uniform, and aim to arrive at least 20 minutes before your appointment time.  This is so that you can register your arrival in Reception and complete the check of the emergency contact data we hold on file for you.  You will also have the opportunity to review the student 'Myfile' and receive the Review Day documentation.

You will then, not only be able to have a look through this documentation, but also take advantage of the various support services that will be set up in the Hall.  These agencies work closley with the school and provide support for students and parents over a wide range of issues.  The services available include:

  • Connexions (Careers Advice)
  • AimHigher Graduate Mentor
  • Kooth.com (Online counselling)
  • Drug Awareness Team
  • Healthy Schools Team
  • Student Support Team

About five minutes before your interview time you should make your way to your son/daughter's Form Room to meet their Form Tutor.  The review meeting may also be joined by one of the school support staff, for example the Progress Leader for the year group or one of the additional needs staff.

You should also be reassured that all students are being set work to be done at home over the two days.

Please click the links below to access the Work Book for students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10.  Work Books for students in Year 10 are broken down dependent on their English Set.

Students in Year 10 and Sixth Form students will be working on coursework tasks or assignments set by individual subject tutors.

We stress that students should be working at home on both days.  Any that are not at home risk being picked up by the authorities who will regard them as being absent from school without authorisation.

The parent/carer feedback from last year's Review Days was very positive, and we have aimed to address any issues that were raised.  However, we are always willing to listen to suggestions and if you have any suggestions about how the Review Day process may be improved, there will be an opportunity to post suggestions on the 'Parent Feedback Wall' situated in the main Hall.  Alternatively, use our 'Contact Us' link to the right of this page.
