Sex Education

Wallasey School has a full programme of Personal Health and Social Education. We involve the schools Nursing Sister with each form in Year 7 and individual and small group counselling in Years 9, 10, 11 and Sixth Form.

The programme is further supported through certain areas of work in specific subjects such as Science, English, RE and PE. Parents have the choice to withdraw their child from all or part of Wallaesy Schools’ sex education programme. Our policy however fully endorses the principles and approaches which are outlined in the Wirral Education Authority Guidelines of which a copy is available from the school.
